Roads With a Round-the-Clock Truck Ban

Some routes face a tougher, permanent rule. Trucks are banned around the clock on Al Qudra Street and Al Meydan Street, on all crossings, and in the Airport Tunnel. 16-Hour Truck Ban on Sheikh Zayed Road and Residential Areas

A 16-hour daily ban, running from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, applies on Sheikh Zayed Road and Beirut Street. The same 16-hour restriction covers residential districts including Al Mizhar, Muhaisnah and Oud Al Muteena, protecting neighbourhoods from heavy-vehicle noise, emissions and safety risks through the day.

One notable exemption: Emirates Road remains open to trucks, giving freight traffic a continuous north–south alternative route around the restricted corridors.
