Ras Al Khaimah gets its direct Kerala link back this month. Air Arabia will resume daily non-stop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode from October 16, 2026, the airline announced on October 6 in its official press release.

Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is the coastal city on Kerala’s Malabar Coast, and the route is a workhorse link for the large Keralite community living and working in the northern emirates.

What has been announced, and what is still missing

The airline confirmed the daily frequency, the non-stop routing between Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Kozhikode International Airport, and that bookings are open now through its website, call centre and travel agencies, as Khaleej Tribune also reported.

What the announcement does not include is the detailed timetable: departure and arrival times, flight numbers and aircraft type were not published in the release. Travellers should check their exact timings at booking rather than relying on the schedule from when the route last operated.

Ras Al Khaimah’s growing Air Arabia network

Kozhikode joins Air Arabia’s existing non-stop services from Ras Al Khaimah, which the airline lists as including Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar. For passengers in Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah’s northern neighbours and Ajman, a daily RAK departure can mean a much shorter airport run than driving to Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

Why this route matters for the northern emirates

Kerala is one of the largest sources of the UAE’s expatriate workforce, and Kozhikode is the main airport for the northern Malabar districts. A daily flight from Ras Al Khaimah shortens the door-to-door journey for families spread across Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and parts of Sharjah and Ajman, who would otherwise face a long road transfer to a larger hub before even checking in.
