Night swimming, smart lighting and AI-run facilities

Umm Suqeim is set to become a genuine all-day — and all-night — destination. Some 130,000 square metres of beachfront will be fitted with smart lighting systems, enabling night swimming, and facilities management will run on AI-powered smart systems.

Climate resilience is engineered in: a two-kilometre coastal retaining wall will be constructed and beach levels raised as part of plans to address rising sea levels. The design supports Dubai’s Quality of Life Strategy 2033 and the 2040 Urban Master Plan, with dedicated facilities for seniors and people of determination.

Parking, mobility and getting there

Anyone who has circled Umm Suqeim on a Friday afternoon will welcome this part. Parking capacity will increase by 200% to around 2,400 spaces, alongside 10 mobility hubs and 11 taxi pick-up and drop-off points.
