Nonstop flights between Manila and Dubai are back on the board. Philippine Airlines resumes its Manila–Dubai service today, Friday, October 2, 2026, ending a roughly two-month suspension that was prompted by airspace safety concerns tied to the Middle East conflict.

For the large Filipino community in the UAE — one of Dubai’s biggest expatriate groups — the route’s return means a direct link to home again, without long layovers in regional hubs.

PAL’s Manila–Dubai schedule from October 2

The service restarts with four flights a week, operating every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday:

  • PR658 departs Manila at 12:50pm and lands in Dubai at 6:00pm.
  • PR659 departs Dubai at 7:45pm and arrives in Manila at 9:10am the next morning.

PAL says it intends to build the frequency up to a daily service gradually, as operational considerations allow. If you are planning ahead, watch for added days rather than assuming the current four-a-week pattern stays fixed.

Introductory fares from USD 650

To mark the comeback, PAL is offering a limited-time introductory all-in roundtrip fare starting from USD 650, according to reports on the relaunch. Launch promotions like this usually apply to a limited number of seats per flight, so booking early in the launch window is the best shot at the lowest fares. Details were reported by BusinessWorld.

Fleet modernisation continues

The Dubai return comes as PAL continues renewing its long-haul fleet: the airline has recently taken delivery of its fourth Airbus A350-1000. The wide-body additions strengthen its long-haul operations, which matter on Middle East routes that spend long hours in the air — more on the earlier announcement here.

What Filipino travellers should know about UAE visas

Some media reports note that Filipino passport holders carrying a valid US, EU/Schengen, UK, Australian, Japanese, Singaporean, South Korean, Canadian or New Zealand visa, residence permit or Green Card may be able to obtain a UAE visa on arrival. That is reported, not officially confirmed for every traveller — visa rules can change, so check with PAL or the UAE authorities before you fly. Getting from the airport into the city
